Oman: Oil production rises by 11.3% through end of July

Muscat, Sept 1 (KUNA) -- Official data showed on Tuesday that Oman’s total crude oil production rose by 11.3 percent through the end of July last year, reaching approximately 233.8 million barrels, compared with the same period last year, at an average daily production rate of 1.022 million barrels. According to data from Oman’s National Centre for Statistics and Information, the average price of Omani crude oil increased by 15.7 percent, reaching $83.9 per barrel through the end of July last year, compared with $72.5 per barrel during the same period last year. The data also showed that Omani oil exports rose by 1.8 percent, reaching approximately 181.9 million barrels through the end of July last year, compared with the corresponding period last year. Regarding natural gas production, including domestic output and imports, the data indicated a 6.4 percent increase, reaching approximately 95 billion cubic meters through the end of July last year. On another note, official data showed on Tuesday that the official price of Omani crude for November delivery rose to $99.81 per barrel, while the monthly average price of Omani crude for September delivery stood at $76.36 per barrel.
