First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Inspects Forensic Evidence and Reviews Its Technical and Technological Developments

Kuwait City, Jan 9 (KUNA) -- The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Youssef Al-Saud Al-Sabah, paid an inspection visit to the General Administration of Criminal Evidence to review the progress of operations, performance levels, and key technical and technological developments.

In a press statement, the Ministry’s General Administration of Security Relations and Media said that Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, at the outset of the visit, listened to a briefing by the Director General of the General Administration of Criminal Evidence, Brigadier General Abdulrahim Al-Awadi, on the administration’s aspirations and its plans to continue development and elevate work standards.

The statement noted that Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef viewed a visual presentation on the role of artificial intelligence in the criminal justice field and its applications in identity verification and forgery detection. He also inspected several departments and laboratories, reviewing their operational nature, the procedures followed, and the technical and specialized services they provide.

He concluded the visit by issuing a number of directives aimed at supporting the development trajectory and enhancing work standards, thereby strengthening performance efficiency and result accuracy and contributing to bolstering the security system.

Upon his arrival, he was received by Brigadier General Fahad Al-Badr, Head of the Criminal Security Affairs Sector, Brigadier General Mishaari Al-Risha, Deputy Director General of the General Administration of Criminal Evidence, along with several department directors and their deputies.
