Deputy Minister of Health Inspects Duties of Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Center for Chemical Defense and Radiation Monitoring at the National Guard

Kuwait City, Jan 9 (KUNA) -- The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Sheikh Dr. Salman Khalifa Al-Sabah, today, Tuesday, inspected the facilities and capabilities of the “His Highness Sheikh Salem Al-Ali” Center for Chemical Defense and Radiation Monitoring at the National Guard, and its role in monitoring and tracking radiation levels and hazardous materials.
The National Guard said in a press statement that this visit was made by Sheikh Salman Al-Sabah, accompanied by the Assistant Undersecretary for Public Health Affairs, Dr. Al-Munther Al-Hasawi. They were received by the Acting Commander of Military and Security Affairs, Brigadier General Abdullah Saleh, and the Director of the Medical Services Directorate, Brigadier General Engineer Mohammed Ali.
The Guard added that the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health listened during the visit to a briefing on the center’s tasks and its national role, through monitoring stations covering the territory of the State of Kuwait and its territorial waters.
It was noted that Brigadier General Abdullah Saleh conveyed greetings from the National Guard leadership to the visiting delegation, emphasizing the importance of exchanging visits and enhancing cooperation and coordination among state institutions in areas related to health, safety, and prevention of chemical and radiation risks.
The National Guard affirmed, according to the statement, its continued performance of its duties in the field of chemical defense and radiation monitoring, in cooperation with competent authorities and through the exchange of expertise with the Ministry of Health. (End) A.N.D.
