(Zain Premier League): Kuwait defeats Al-Qadsia 1-0

Kuwait City, Aug 31 (KUNA) -- Al-Kuwait FC defeated Al-Qadsia 1-0 in the second-round match of the 2026/2027 season of the Zain Premier League for men's football. Neither team managed to score in the first half. In the second half, the title holders, Al-Kuwait, pressed their hosts, Al-Qadsia, in an effort to break down their defense. As the match progressed, Al-Kuwait increased the pressure on Al-Qadsia's goal, culminating in the 91st minute when Mohammed Marhoon scored the winning goal, securing three points for his team. With this victory, Al-Kuwait moved up to four points from one draw and one win, while Al-Qadsia remained on three points from one win and one loss.
