Speaker of the Arab Parliament Condemns Renewed Iranian Attacks on the UAE and Jordan

Cairo, August 31 (KUNA) – Arab Parliament Speaker Mohammed Al-Yamahi condemned on Monday Iran’s attacks targeting the United Arab Emirates and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan using drones, describing the recurrence of such attacks as a blatant violation of the sovereignty of the two countries and a direct threat to their security and stability.

In a statement, Al-Yamahi affirmed that the security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Arab states are indivisible, stressing that any aggression against an Arab country constitutes an attack on the entire Arab national security system.

He expressed the Arab Parliament’s solidarity with the UAE and Jordan and its support for all measures they undertake to protect their security, sovereignty, and the safety of their citizens and residents on their territories, affirming their legitimate right to self-defense in accordance with the UN Charter and international law.

He called on the international community to assume its legal and political responsibilities, adopt a firm stance against these aggressions, work to halt them and prevent their recurrence, curb the escalation spiral, and safeguard regional and international peace and security.

He emphasized that the continuation of such attacks would undermine efforts to achieve security and stability in the region, reiterating the necessity of respecting state sovereignty, non-interference in internal affairs, and adherence to the principles of international law and the UN Charter.
