Launch of LEAP 2026 in Riyadh with participation of Kuwait's Minister of Communications

Riyadh, August 31 (KUNA) – The fifth edition of the global technology event LEAP 2026 kicked off today, Monday, in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, under the theme “To New Worlds.” The event is attended by Kuwait’s Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology Affairs and Acting Minister of Media and Culture, Omar Al-Omar, alongside technology and innovation leaders, investors, experts, and startups from around the world.
Held from August 31 to September 3 at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center (LEAP) in northern Riyadh, the event is organized by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the Saudi Cybersecurity, Programming, and Drones Federation, and Tahlil, supported by the global company Informa and the Events Investment Fund.
The fifth edition aims to bring together more than 1,000 speakers and global experts, over 1,800 technology companies, more than 600 startups, and over 1,900 investors and representatives of venture capital funds. This participation reinforces the conference’s role in forging partnerships, attracting investments, and opening new horizons for the growth of technology companies and entrepreneurs.
LEAP 2026 offers a comprehensive program showcasing the latest advancements in artificial intelligence, advanced technologies, and the digital economy. The program includes Deep Fest, dedicated to AI, as well as tracks covering fintech, health tech, smart cities, edtech, sports tech, space, gaming, and digital infrastructure.
The fifth edition also features specialized spaces and experiences, including LEAP Connect for building connections and partnerships, the Sports Tech Hub to explore the future of sports technology, the World Tech Zone to showcase global innovations, and LEAP Studios for live content creation and influence. Additionally, it includes programs for startups and investors, as well as platforms for announcing agreements and technology initiatives.
The conference focuses on maximizing the economic and social impact of technology, empowering national talent, and providing opportunities for students, entrepreneurs, and startup founders to access the latest global innovations, benefit from international expertise, and explore promising professional and entrepreneurial pathways.
