(Ministry of Food): 88 kg of meat destroyed and 10 violations issued in Farwaniya

Kuwait City, Aug 31 (KUNA) -- The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition announced on Monday the destruction of 88 kilograms of meat of unknown origin and the issuance of 10 violation reports following an inspection tour of several food establishments in the Farwaniya Governorate.

In a press statement, the Authority said the tour, carried out by the Farwaniya Governorate Inspection Department, is part of its ongoing supervisory efforts to ensure compliance with health requirements and the safety of food products circulating in the markets.

It added that the issued violations included the trade of adulterated food, staying or sleeping inside the establishment in areas other than those designated by the competent authorities, and failure to adhere to general hygiene rules and requirements during work.

The Authority reaffirmed its commitment to continuing its inspection and supervisory tours of food establishments and taking the necessary legal action against violators, in order to ensure the application of health requirements and food safety, thereby safeguarding the health and well-being of consumers.
