Kuwait national team loses to Saudi Arabia in the Asian Junior Handball Championship in Jordan

Amman, August 31 (KUNA) -- Kuwait’s junior handball team lost today, Monday, to their Saudi counterparts with a score of 21-31 in the match to determine fifth and sixth places at the 11th Asian Junior Championship, which concludes this evening in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Kuwait settled for sixth place in the Asian championship after their defeat by Saudi Arabia, who led by five goals in the first half (10-15). Despite Kuwaiti players’ efforts to stage a comeback in the second half, they were unable to do so. The 11th Asian Junior Championship, which serves as a qualifier for the 2027 World Cup and began on August 20, concludes today with the final between Qatar and Bahrain, preceded by the third-place playoff between South Korea and Iran.
