Five Palestinians martyred in two violent airstrikes on Gaza City
Gaza, August 31 (KUNA) -- Five Palestinians were martyred and several others were injured on Monday morning in two intense airstrikes carried out by Israeli occupation aircraft, which targeted a civilian car and the entrance of a residential building near the Municipal Park in Gaza City.
Health authorities stated in a press statement that three martyrs and several wounded arrived at Al-Shifa Medical Complex after their vehicle was targeted in the Tel al-Hawa neighborhood in southern Gaza City.
Eyewitnesses told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the shelling caused the car to burn completely and damaged several nearby buildings and commercial shops.
Health authorities clarified that two other martyrs arrived at Al-Shifa Hospital as a result of a previous airstrike, along with several Palestinians, including two in critical condition who were transferred for medical treatment.
The authorities added that the total number of martyrs since the ceasefire began on October 11 last year reached 1,320, with 4,385 injuries, while the number of recovery cases stood at 815.
According to cumulative statistics from health authorities, the number of martyrs since the start of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, has reached approximately 73,456, with 174,496 injuries. (End) w.a.b / a.m.h
