Bahrain's Foreign Minister holds phone talks with his Serbian and Romanian counterparts on issues of mutual interest
Manama, August 30 (KUNA) -- Bahraini Foreign Minister Dr. Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani held telephone conversations with his Serbian counterpart Marko Gjurić and his Romanian counterpart Elena Ceaușescu today, Sunday, to discuss enhancing bilateral relations and issues of mutual interest.
The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a press release that the Bahraini minister discussed with his Serbian counterpart the trajectory of the strong friendship ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Serbia across various fields, and ways to strengthen them in a manner that serves the mutual interests of the two countries.
In a separate statement, the ministry clarified that the Bahraini minister discussed with his Romanian counterpart the close friendship ties between the two countries and ways to develop and elevate them to broader horizons in various economic, commercial, and social fields, as well as to continue joint cooperation and coordination in international forums in a manner that serves shared interests.
The discussions also reviewed recent developments in the regional situation and the repercussions of Iran’s closure of the Strait of Hormuz on maritime navigation, international trade, and the global economy, as well as ongoing regional efforts aimed at preserving regional security and stability and ensuring freedom of maritime navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab al-Mandab.
