Al-Nasr defeats Al-Fahaheel 2-1 in the second round of the Zain Premier League

Kuwait City, 30 Aug (KUNA) -- Al-Nasr Football Club defeated Al-Fahaheel 2-1 on Sunday in the second round of the Zain League Premier Division for the 2026/2027 sports season. At the Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium, Al-Nasr opened the scoring in the sixth minute through a successful penalty kick by Algerian professional Ayman Lahcene, giving his team the lead and ending the first half with Al-Nasr ahead. In the second half, Al-Nasr’s Hazem Al-Hajj doubled the lead in the 47th minute with a powerful shot following an ideal counterattack, extending his team’s advantage. Al-Fahaheel then responded with a stunning free-kick goal executed by Brazilian professional Vitor in the 68th minute. With this victory, Al-Nasr reached six points from two wins, having previously defeated Al-Salmiya to open their campaign. Al-Fahaheel remained winless after suffering their second consecutive loss, having lost to Al-Qadsia in the previous round.
