Madrid, Aug 30 (KUNA) -- Real Madrid climbed to the top of the Spanish La Liga after defeating Malaga 4-0 on Sunday at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in the third round of the competition. Real Madrid secured the match in the first half, with British player Jude Bellingham opening the scoring in the 19th minute. The second goal came from an own goal by Malaga goalkeeper Alfonso Herrera, who accidentally sent the ball into his own net in the 26th minute. In the 30th minute, French forward Kylian Mbappe added a third goal for the home side, and Turkish midfielder Arda Guler sealed the victory with a fourth goal in the first minute of stoppage time. Real Madrid collected three points, moving to nine points at the top of the league table, while Malaga remained on one point in second-to-last place.
