(Ministry of Interior) Launches Broad Security Operation in Al-Qurain Markets to Crack Down on Violators and Wanted Individuals

Kuwait City, Aug 30 (KUNA) – The Ministry of Interior, through the Directorate of Security for the Al-Mubarak Al-Kabir Governorate, carried out an extensive security operation in the Abu Futeira Crafts Area (Qurain Markets), as part of its ongoing efforts to enforce the rule of law and apprehend violators and wanted individuals.

In a press statement, the Ministry of Interior said the operation involved the General Directorate of Traffic, the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation, the Kuwait Municipality, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition, and the Public Authority for Manpower.

The statement clarified that the operation resulted in the issuance of 189 traffic violations, 42 violations by the Kuwait Municipality, and the affixing of 37 notices to abandoned vehicles. It also led to the issuance of 34 violations by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the apprehension of 22 individuals for expired residency permits, the issuance of 16 violations by the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition, and the arrest of six individuals violating residency laws and six wanted persons in connection with ongoing cases. Two vehicles were seized due to traffic violations.

The statement added that the necessary legal and administrative measures were taken against the violators and wanted individuals by the respective participating authorities, and cases requiring further action were referred to the competent authorities. (End) H.M. / A.M.H.
