Algeria: Sets November 28 as the date for local elections
Algiers, Aug 30 (KUNA) -- Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune signed a presidential decree today, Sunday, calling for the electoral body, setting November 28 as the date for local elections in the country. The decree stated that President Tebboune, in accordance with the Constitution, is calling the electoral body to elect members of the municipal and wilaya (province) People’s Assemblies on Saturday, November 28, 2026. The same decree clarified that “an exceptional revision of the electoral lists will begin on Sunday, September 6, 2026, and conclude on September 17, 2026.” (End) M.R. / A.M.H.
