Israeli occupation forces continue their attacks by burning lands in southern Lebanon

Beirut, August 30 (KUNA) – Israeli occupation forces continued their attacks on Sunday, setting fire to lands and shelling several areas in southern Lebanon. The Lebanese National News Agency reported that the occupation army continued to set fire to residents’ properties in the town of Hattana, where flames engulfed vast areas of olive groves. A D9 bulldozer and an occupation military force were recorded advancing toward the Litani River bed in the direction of the town of Zoutar al-Gharbiya. The agency added that occupation artillery targeted the forest area of Aita al-Shaab – Beit Yahoun with several heavy shells and dropped illuminating bombs to ignite fires. A military helicopter conducted a sweeping operation with its heavy machine guns toward the outskirts of Zoutar al-Sharqiya, alongside an airstrike carried out by a drone on the outskirts of Nabatieh al-Fawqa. The agency also noted that the occupation army carried out a major explosion in the border town of Houla and targeted the town of Mansouri with artillery.
