Three Palestinians, including a child, martyred in Israeli occupation airstrikes and shooting operations in the Gaza Strip
Gaza, August 30 (KUNA) -- Three Palestinians, including a child, were killed and several others were injured today, Sunday, as a result of Israeli occupation forces’ aerial bombardment and shooting operations in various areas of the Gaza Strip.
Health authorities in the Strip said in a press statement that two Palestinians were killed and several others were injured when an Israeli unmanned aerial vehicle targeted a gathering of civilians west of Deir al-Balah city in the central part of the Strip. The third victim died later from injuries sustained in an Israeli airstrike that targeted the Al-Amal neighborhood west of Khan Younis city in the southern part of the Strip.
The authorities added that among the martyrs was a three-year-old child, and described the injuries of several other Palestinians as ranging from moderate to serious.
In the northern part of the Strip, health authorities reported that a Palestinian girl was shot by occupation forces in the Jabalia refugee camp, and a young man was also shot by occupation forces in the Al-Tawam area northwest of Gaza City.
This coincided with artillery shelling by the occupation forces targeting areas east of Jabalia camp and northwest of Rafah city in the south of the Strip. Occupation forces also demolished facilities in the northern part of the Strip, while military vehicles fired toward areas east of Al-Bureij camp in the central part of the Strip.
Occupation forces continued their bombing and shooting operations in various parts of the Gaza Strip, in continuous violations of the ceasefire agreement. (End) w.a.b. / a.m.h.
