Death toll from Nepal floods rises to 626, with 2,426 missing

New Delhi, Aug 29 (KUNA) – Nepalese authorities announced on Saturday that 626 bodies have been recovered so far from the devastating sudden floods that struck the Budhi Gandaki River in Rasuwa District in the northern part of the country. Nepal News, citing the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority, reported that the bodies of 626 people were recovered following the catastrophic floods that hit Nepal last Wednesday. Government data confirmed that 2,426 people remain missing, including 933 workers on hydropower projects.
