Palestinian martyred and others injured in strike targeting Gaza Strip

Gaza – 29 August (KUNA) – A Palestinian was killed in an Israeli occupation army airstrike on the city of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza Strip on Saturday, while others were injured in a separate strike targeting the southern part of the Strip. Palestinian health authorities said in a statement that a Palestinian farmer was killed after being targeted by a drone while working on his land east of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, while others suffered injuries of varying degrees, from serious to minor, in a strike that targeted a group of civilians near a parked vehicle in Khan Younis in the southern part of the Strip. The statement noted that the farmer’s death coincided with a limited incursion by Israeli occupation mechanized units east of Al-Masdar village, located east of Deir al-Balah, and the firing of heavy gunfire toward Palestinian homes. In the same context, health authorities announced that ten Palestinians were killed over the past 48 hours as a result of occupation airstrikes on various areas of the Gaza Strip. It is worth noting that Israeli occupation forces continue their airstrikes and shooting operations in various parts of the Gaza Strip, amid a continued deterioration of the humanitarian and living conditions there.
