Sultanate of Oman expresses solidarity with Algeria and offers condolences for the victims of forest fires

Muscat, August 29 (KUNA) -- Oman expressed its solidarity with Algeria, both the government and the people, and offered its condolences over the forest fires that broke out in the north, resulting in casualties and injuries. The Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a communiqué that the Sultanate extends its deepest sympathies to the families of the victims and wishes the injured a speedy recovery. Last Wednesday, several fires erupted in Algeria’s eastern regions, with the highest number recorded in the wilaya of Bejaia (20 fires), followed by Tizi Ouzou (13 fires), Skikda (10 fires), and Jijel (6 fires).
