Deputy Foreign Minister Meets with Foreign Ministers of Guinea and Bangladesh and the OIC Secretary-General on the Margins of the Extraordinary OIC Session

Kuwait City, August 28 (KUNA) -- Deputy Foreign Minister Ambassador Hamad Al-Mushaan met individually in Jeddah with Fatoumata Jalloh, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Expatriates of the friendly Republic of Guinea-Bissau, and with Humaun Kabir, State Minister for External Affairs of the friendly People’s Republic of Bangladesh, as well as with Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, Secretary-General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement on Friday that these meetings took place on the sidelines of the 23rd Extraordinary Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers, held at the OIC General Secretariat headquarters in Jeddah, to discuss developments in the occupied Palestinian territories.

It added that during Ambassador Al-Mushaan’s meeting with Minister Fatoumata Jalloh, the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries were reviewed, and ways to enhance and develop them across various fields were discussed.

Likewise, during his meeting with State Minister Humaun Kabir, the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries were reviewed, and ways to strengthen and develop them in various areas were discussed, in addition to exchanging views on issues of mutual interest.

During his meeting with Sheikh Ahmed, Ambassador Al-Mushaan congratulated him on his election as Secretary-General of the OIC, wishing him success and prosperity in carrying out his duties. He also reaffirmed Kuwait’s commitment to continuing its support for the OIC and enhancing its role in serving the causes of the Islamic world. (End) N.Sh. / Kh.D.A.
