Kuwait City, August 28 (KUNA) -- August 28:

1973: Kuwait acceded to the Protocol Amending the Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs of 1961, which was drafted in Geneva on March 25, 1972.

1990: The Iraqi regime declared that “Kuwait had become its nineteenth province,” and assigned it a new name, “Kahtah,” in an attempt to erase Kuwait’s identity and its historical existence as an independent state, and to impose the reality of its occupation.

2017: Kuwait-based Petrochemicals Company (Equate) launched a partnership with the “Amna” plastic recycling project in an initiative aimed at protecting the country’s environment and reducing waste by reusing plastic water bottles. ((End) M.B.R. / N.S.N.)
