UEFA conducts league phase draw for the 2026-2027 UEFA Champions League
Kuwait City, August 27 (KUNA) -- The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) conducted the league phase draw for the 2026-2027 UEFA Champions League, setting the stage for exciting clashes among top clubs. The draw took place at the famous Grimaldi Forum in the Principality of Monaco, on the southern coast of France, revealing the identities of the eight opponents each of the 36 participating teams will face in the league stage.
In the most notable results, the French club Paris Saint-Germain, winner of the last two editions, will face Spanish sides Barcelona and Villarreal, English clubs Manchester City and Aston Villa, Italian teams Roma and Como, Turkish side Galatasaray, and Slovak club Slovan Bratislava.
For his part, English club Arsenal, runner-up in the previous edition, will play tough matches against Spanish teams Real Madrid and Real Betis, German clubs Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, French side Lille, Azerbaijani club Sabah, Italian teams Real and Napoli, and the Czech club Slavia Prague.
Other high-profile fixtures include Bayern Munich versus Spanish club Atletico Madrid, Barcelona versus Manchester City, and Liverpool versus Italian side Inter Milan.
Below are the fixtures for the nine teams seeded in Pot 1:
Paris Saint-Germain will face Barcelona, Roma, Galatasaray, Slovan Bratislava, Manchester City, Aston Villa, Villarreal, and Como.
Arsenal will face Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Lille, Sabah, Bayern Munich, Real Betis, Napoli, and Slavia Prague.
Bayern Munich will face Arsenal, Real Betis, Bodø/Glimt, Slavia Prague, Atletico Madrid, Manchester United, Lille, and Viking.
Real Madrid will face Inter Milan, PSV Eindhoven, RB Leipzig, LASK, Arsenal, Roma, Shakhtar Donetsk, and AEK Athens.
Barcelona will face Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, Aston Villa, Sporting CP, Feyenoord, Galatasaray, Como, and Sabah.
Liverpool will face Atletico Madrid, Porto, Villarreal, Lens, Inter Milan, Club Brugge, Fenerbahçe, and LASK.
Inter Milan will face Liverpool, Club Brugge, Shakhtar Donetsk, Stuttgart, Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Feyenoord, and Slovan Bratislava.
Manchester City will face Paris Saint-Germain, Sporting CP, Napoli, AEK Athens, Barcelona, Porto, RB Leipzig, and Lens.
Atletico Madrid will face Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Fenerbahçe, Viking, Liverpool, PSV Eindhoven, Bodø/Glimt, and Stuttgart.
