One killed and six others injured in Israeli occupation airstrike in southern Lebanon

Beirut, August 27 (KUNA) -- Lebanon announced on Thursday that one person was killed and six others were injured in an Israeli air strike on the Nabatieh Governorate in southern Lebanon. The Emergency Operations Center of the Lebanese Ministry of Health said in a statement that the final toll of the Israeli air strike on the town of Arab Salim in the Nabatieh Governorate was one death and six injuries, including a child, a woman, and elderly individuals. On the ground developments, the Lebanese National News Agency (NNA) reported that Israeli warplanes launched strikes targeting and destroying a building in the Al-Deir neighborhood in the Upper Nabatieh area, as well as another strike on the outskirts of the town of Tel al-Dibshiye in southern Lebanon. The agency noted that artillery fire by Israeli forces targeted the eastern outskirts of the town of Mansouri, coinciding with drone flights and a major explosion near the hills of the town of Braichit, in the Sidon District. Southern Lebanon has been witnessing continuous military and ground escalation amid escalating violations and clashes along the southern border since March 2, resulting in hundreds of casualties and the displacement of thousands of residents from border villages and towns, as well as severe damage to infrastructure and property.
