Kuwait, Aug 27 (KUNA) -- Al-Sahel Club defeated Al-Salmiya 1-0 in the opening round of the Zain Premier League. In the match, held at Abdullah Al-Khalifa Al-Sabah Stadium, both teams started cautiously, closing down space, before Al-Salmiya took the initiative with a limited number of attempts on goal against a strong defensive display from Al-Sahel. In the second half, Al-Sahel opened the scoring with a powerful strike from Alan Desouza in the 58th minute, giving their side the lead.
