Paris, August 27 (KUNA) -- France expressed its solidarity with Nepal and China and its support for both countries following the massive floods and sudden landslides that struck some areas in the two nations. In a statement, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs conveyed its heartfelt condolences to the victims' families and offered support to those affected by the tragedy. The statement affirmed that teams from the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its embassies in Nepal and China are on standby and are closely monitoring the situation on the ground in coordination with local authorities. It further noted that the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs is in contact with the families of French citizens located in the affected areas, emphasizing efforts to locate them and provide assistance. The ministry's statement called on French citizens in the affected areas to comply with the instructions of local authorities.
