(SANTCOM): Change of course for 75 commercial vessels since the start of the blockade on Iranian ports

Washington, Aug 27 (KUNA) -- The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Thursday that it has diverted 75 commercial vessels so far as part of the U.S. enforcement of the blockade on Iranian ports. In a statement, CENTCOM said U.S. forces have “diverted 75 commercial vessels, detained three ships, and boarded two others to ensure compliance (with the blockade).” It is worth noting that U.S. forces resumed the naval blockade on ships heading to or coming from Iranian ports and coastal areas starting on July 14, in response to attacks on commercial vessels and the disruption of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
