Two dead in shooting at school near Berlin

Berlin, Aug 27 (KUNA) -- German police announced on Thursday that a girl and a man were killed in a shooting at a school in the town of Zittau, near the capital Berlin. The local newspaper Merkur cited police as saying they had temporarily detained a suspect in connection with the incident. The newspaper reported that a 10-year-old student was among the victims of the shooting, which also claimed the life of a 30-year-old man who tried to prevent the attacker from carrying out the assault.
