Kuwait Premier League (Zain): Al-Shabab defeats Al-Jahra 3-2 in the first round

Kuwait City, August 26 (KUNA) -- Al-Shabab Club kicked off its campaign in the Zain Premier League with a 3-2 victory over Al-Jahra in the opening round. At the Al-Shabab Stadium, the match saw early pressure from Al-Shabab players, who launched several attacks and attempts on goal. Mohammed Al-Qahtani opened the scoring for Al-Shabab in the 24th minute, and Matheus Toto added a second from a penalty kick in the 56th minute. Abdulrahman Al-Dhafiri reduced the deficit by scoring a penalty for Al-Jahra in the 64th minute. Thereafter, Al-Jahra intensified their efforts to equalize, with attacks mounting as Al-Shabab gradually fell back into defense. Al-Jahra eventually leveled the score when Fahd Al-Salama netted their second goal in the 72nd minute.
