(Al-Tatbiqi): Acceptance of 13,495 students for the upcoming academic semesters
Kuwait City, August 26 (KUNA) — Dr. Hassan Al-Fajam, Director General of the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET), has approved the admission results for 13,495 students in the authority’s colleges, institutes, and specialized training courses for the first and second academic semesters of the 2026–2027 academic and training year, for holders of the General Secondary School Certificate.
In a press statement on Wednesday evening, Dean of Admissions and Registration Dr. Mohammed Al-Kandari explained that admissions were conducted in accordance with the approved admission plan, governing regulations, minimum admission percentages, applicants’ preference rankings, and seat availability.
He noted that the total number of admitted students reached 13,495 out of 14,638 applicants, with 8,932 admitted for the first semester and 4,563 for the second semester.
Dr. Al-Kandari pointed out that admission to the College of Nursing and certain majors in the College of Health Sciences required passing the Aptitude Test and a personal interview, as these are mandatory requirements for these specialties.
Regarding the College of Basic Education, he clarified that admitted students will undergo personal interviews, with the college responsible for determining and announcing the interview schedules.
He urged admitted students to confirm their acceptance no later than Saturday, September 5, through the authority’s website or the “Sahl” application, emphasizing that failure to confirm acceptance within the specified deadline will result in automatic cancellation of admission.
He further explained that fixed academic schedules for new students will be prepared and distributed according to majors, colleges, and institutes to ensure students’ continuity in their studies from the beginning of the semester.
Dr. Al-Kandari encouraged all admitted students to follow official announcements and instructions via the authority’s and its colleges’ and institutes’ official channels to stay informed about any updates regarding counseling procedures, personal interviews, academic schedules, and the start of classes.
With regard to the Fire Engineering Technology major, Dr. Al-Kandari stated that final admission results will be announced later in coordination with the General Fire Force. He called on students who were contacted to temporarily confirm their acceptance into an alternative major, noting that those ultimately admitted to the Fire Engineering Technology major will be allowed to transfer to it.
