Nizahah Presents Kuwait's Experience in Enhancing Transparency through Beneficial Ownership Identification at a Meeting in Vienna

Kuwait City, August 26 (KUNA) -- The Public Authority for Combating Corruption (Nazaha) presented Kuwait’s experience in enhancing transparency through the identification of beneficial owners during the plenary session of the seventh meeting of the GlobE Network, the global operational network of anti-corruption law enforcement authorities, held at the United Nations International Centre in Vienna, Austria.

In a press release, Nazaha stated that its Observer for International Organizations and Conferences, Dhafer Al-Buwaybis, delivered a presentation outlining the comprehensive legal framework adopted by Kuwait to enhance beneficial ownership transparency, along with the latest legislative developments. He also highlighted the role of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in this area, as well as Nazaha’s contribution to supporting these efforts from an anti-corruption perspective.

The authority noted that this participation complements Nazaha’s regional and international efforts in this field. It had previously prepared the “Guide on Practices and Measures for Identifying Beneficial Owners in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Countries,” which reflects the perspective of anti-corruption bodies in this domain and serves as an important reference for GCC member states.
