Kuwait's youth handball team defeats Saudi Arabia to reach the Asian Youth Handball Championship semifinals

Kuwait City, August 26 (KUNA) – The Kuwaiti junior national handball team defeated Saudi Arabia 30-28 in the final round of the group stage of Group 2 at the 11th Asian Championship, which serves as a qualifier for the 2027 Junior World Championship, held in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Kuwait secured a 12-8 lead in the first half and maintained their strong performance in the second half to claim the victory, thereby guaranteeing their place in the semifinals. Kuwaiti player Abdulmohsen Al-Hathloul was named the match’s best player. With this win, Kuwait moved to four points from two victories and two defeats, finishing third in their group and advancing to the semifinals.
