Five Palestinian martyrs in Israeli strikes in north and south Gaza Strip

Gaza, August 25 (KUNA) – The health authorities announced on Tuesday the arrival of five Palestinian martyrs and several injured people as a result of shelling and gunfire by the Israeli occupation army in the Gaza Strip, including four in an attack on northern Gaza City and one in Khan Younis in the south of the Strip.

In a statement, the health authorities said that four Palestinians were martyred and others were injured in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a house in the Mawasser area of the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza. The bodies of the martyrs and the injured were then brought to Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City.

The authorities added that a fifth Palestinian martyr arrived at Nasser Medical Complex following an Israeli occupation aircraft strike in the Mawasi area of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.

Additionally, a young Palestinian man was shot in the head by Israeli occupation soldiers who fired randomly toward displacement camps in the town of Beit Lahiya in the northern part of the Strip.

These attacks come amid the Israeli occupation army’s continued violations of the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the resumption of shelling and gunfire against Palestinians in various areas across the Strip. (End)
