(Civil Aviation): Joining the Airports Council International enables leveraging a wide network of international expertise
Kuwait City, August 25 (KUNA) – The Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) announced on Tuesday that its accession to the Airports Council International (ACI) represents an opportunity to leverage a broad network of international expertise, access studies, data, operational benchmarks, and participate in committees, working groups, and specialized events that address the key challenges and future trends in the airport industry.
In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), PACA emphasized that this step aligns with its strategy to expand its presence in specialized international organizations and institutions, and to strengthen international cooperation and partnerships aimed at developing the civil aviation sector in the State of Kuwait and enhancing the level of services provided to passengers.
The Authority noted that membership enables the utilization of ACI’s specialized programs and initiatives in areas such as passenger experience, service quality measurement, operational performance improvement, safety, security, sustainability, digital transformation, and cybersecurity, alongside training and capacity-building programs that contribute to developing the competencies and capabilities of national personnel working in the civil aviation sector.
It further clarified that the Council facilitates the exchange of experiences and best practices with airports and airport operators worldwide, allowing members to benefit from international experiences in developing infrastructure and services and enhancing operational efficiency, thereby supporting PACA’s plans to develop the Kuwait International Airport system and keep pace with the rapid developments in the global aviation industry.
The Authority added that its membership in ACI represents a step that strengthens Kuwait’s presence within the global airport system and supports the Authority’s direction toward developing Kuwait International Airport and leveraging best practices and specialized expertise in the airport industry.
ACI is the global organization representing the interests of airports and their operators, comprising 811 member entities that manage and represent more than 2,200 airports in over 160 countries worldwide.
