(Kuwait Food Authority): 11 violations issued against food establishments in Hawalli, and 96 kilograms of adulterated meat destroyed

Kuwait City, Aug 25 (KUNA) -- The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition announced on Tuesday that it issued 11 violation reports and destroyed 96 kilograms of adulterated and untraceable meat during an inspection tour of several food establishments in Hawalli Governorate.

In a press statement, the Authority said the tour, carried out by the governorate’s inspection department to ensure compliance with approved regulations, also uncovered violations related to health and hygiene requirements, as well as the failure of workers in those establishments to obtain health certificates.

It reaffirmed its continued efforts to strengthen oversight and enhance inspection tours across various governorates to safeguard consumers’ health and ensure the safety of food circulating in the markets. (End) A.A.H / A.M.H
