Ministry of Interior: 45 wanted individuals and suspects involved in various cases and violations arrested in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area

Kuwait City, August 25 (KUNA) -- The Ministry of Interior announced on Tuesday the arrest of 45 wanted individuals and persons involved in various crimes and offenses, as part of a broad security campaign carried out by the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation in the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area, “in response to reports concerning thefts and fires that occurred in the district.”
In a press statement, the Ministry said that security inquiries into those arrested revealed that 36 of them were wanted in connection with cases in which they were absent, including two women wanted in connection with a case of incest, who were referred to the Department for Combating Human Trafficking and Negative Phenomena to take the necessary legal action against them.
It added that search and investigative operations also led to the arrest of nine individuals involved in various crimes and offenses, including “the theft of cables, copper, iron, car exhaust pipes, and women’s accessories.” Among them was one person in possession of tobacco, while another was found in possession of substances suspected to be the narcotics Shabu and Chemical.
The Ministry clarified that all necessary legal procedures had been completed against all those arrested, and they were referred to the competent authorities, along with the preparation of the required reports regarding those ordered to be deported from the country. (End) A.A.R. / A.M.H.
