Israeli occupation forces continue to bomb homes and burn fields in southern Lebanon

Beirut, Aug 24 (KUNA) -- Israeli occupation forces continued their attacks in southern Lebanon on Sunday, bombing homes and setting fields ablaze. The Lebanese National News Agency reported that the occupation army set fire to several agricultural fields and properties in the border town of Khiam, coinciding with bombing operations targeting several homes in the town’s western district. The agency noted that occupation forces also carried out land-clearing operations in the town of Hawli, in addition to shelling the town of Mansuriya. Israeli army forces have been deployed in dozens of villages and towns in southern Lebanon since the outbreak of the last war in March last year. (End) A.Y.B. / S.M.A.
