Seven Palestinians injured in two raids on a group of Palestinians west of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip

Gaza, Aug 23 (KUNA) -- Seven Palestinians were injured today, Sunday, as a result of two airstrikes carried out by the Israeli occupation army on a group of Palestinian civilians west of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip. The Gaza Civil Defense Agency said in a statement that its teams rushed to the site of the attack near one of the camps and attended to a number of injuries resulting from the targeting of a group of displaced persons west of Khan Younis. It added that its teams transported six of the injured to Nasser Medical Complex, bringing the total number of casualties reaching the complex due to the recent shelling south of Khan Younis to seven, after one of the injured was transferred by a civilian vehicle. Eyewitnesses told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that Israeli occupation aircraft launched two airstrikes using reconnaissance missiles, targeting a group of displaced persons near the Al-Albani intersection west of Khan Younis, noting that the attack resulted in injuries. Since early morning, the intensity of shelling and targeting operations carried out by the Israeli occupation forces against Palestinians in the Strip has escalated, resulting in the martyrdom of two individuals and injuring several others, some of whom were described as seriously injured.
