Minister of Cooperatives: 250 Kuwaiti nationals pass supervisory job exams in the cooperatives sector

Kuwait City, August 23 (KUNA) -- Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailan, Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood, announced today that 250 male and female candidates passed the employment examinations for the positions of financial and administrative inspector in the cooperative sector, among the applicants and attendees of the tests held at the American University of Kuwait.

In a press statement marking the announcement of the test results, Al-Huwailan said the outcomes reflect the ministry’s commitment to selecting cooperative supervisory personnel based on standards of competence, merit, transparency, and equal opportunity.

She added that 484 applicants applied for the administrative inspector position, of whom 295 attended the examination and 173 passed, yielding a success rate of 58 percent.

Regarding the financial inspector position, she noted that 244 applicants applied, with 140 attending the exam and 77 passing, resulting in a success rate of 55 percent.

Al-Huwailan emphasized that the examinations were conducted in cooperation with the American University of Kuwait, under comprehensive administrative and technical organization, with surveillance by cameras and visual documentation to ensure procedural discipline, integrity, and equal opportunities for all applicants.

She clarified that the minimum passing score for the examination is 80 percent, with the test accounting for 90 percent of the final evaluation, while the personal interview before the relevant committee within the ministry constitutes the remaining 10 percent.

Al-Huwailan reaffirmed that the ministry is proceeding with completing the selection procedures in accordance with the announced regulations and standards, without exception, and that the final ranking will be based on competence and merit to ensure the selection of the most qualified national candidates for supervisory roles in the cooperative sector.
