GCC Secretary-General Emphasizes the Importance of Following Up on the Implementation of Decisions of the 19th Consultative Meeting of the Supreme Council

Riyadh, 23 August (KUNA) -- Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jassem Al-Budaiwi stressed today, Sunday, the importance of continuing to monitor the implementation of the decisions of the 19th Consultative Meeting of the GCC Supreme Council, in a manner that translates the decisions and directives of the GCC states’ leaders into tangible outcomes, enhancing the trajectory of joint Gulf cooperation and realizing the aspirations of the citizens of the GCC states. The General Secretariat said in a statement that this came during the regular meeting of the High Committee for Monitoring the Implementation of the Decisions of the 19th Consultative Meeting of the GCC Supreme Council, held in the presence of Al-Budaiwi at the General Secretariat’s headquarters in Riyadh. The statement added that the meeting reviewed the latest developments in the committee’s work and the efforts made, in coordination with relevant authorities in member states, to monitor the implementation of decisions and assess what has been accomplished in this regard. It clarified that the committee reviewed the steps taken regarding the implementation of decisions and ways to accelerate the pace of their completion, in order to achieve the desired objectives and aspirations.
