GCC Secretary-General Praises AGFUND's Efforts in Supporting Development Pathways

Riyadh, 23 August (KUNA) -- The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jassem Al-Budaiwi, today Sunday, praised the efforts undertaken by the Arab Gulf Programme for Development (AGFUND) and the high-quality development initiatives and programs it provides in various fields, emphasizing the importance of the program’s role in supporting development pathways and strengthening development partnerships at both the regional and international levels.

The GCC Secretariat General stated in a press release that this came during Al-Budaiwi’s meeting with Hammad Jarid, Executive Director of AGFUND, at the Secretariat General’s headquarters in Riyadh, where the program’s objectives, efforts, and development contributions in numerous fields were reviewed.

The statement added that the two sides discussed areas of cooperation between the GCC and AGFUND, as well as ways to develop them, to facilitate the exchange of expertise and experiences in areas of mutual interest and to enhance efforts aimed at achieving the Sustainable Development Goals in GCC member states.
