Egyptian Foreign Minister Emphasizes to His German Counterpart the Importance of Preserving the Territorial Integrity of Palestinian Lands

Cairo, Aug 23 (KUNA) -- Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Dr. Badr Abdelatty, emphasized in a telephone conversation with his German counterpart, Johann Wadephul, the importance of preserving the territorial integrity of the Palestinian lands, supporting the Palestinian National Authority, and enabling it to fulfill its responsibilities.
The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a statement on Sunday that Abdelatty outlined during the call Egypt’s fundamental positions regarding the current developments in the Palestinian territories, stressing the necessity of intensifying international efforts to halt escalation and rejecting any attempts to infringe upon the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
The statement clarified that the call also addressed developments related to the Iranian file, where Abdelatty stressed the importance of continuing the diplomatic and negotiation track, prioritizing dialogue to help contain tensions, reduce escalation, and prevent the conflict from widening, thereby preserving regional and international security and stability.
Abdelatty praised the “distinctive” Egyptian-German relations, noting their growing momentum across various fields, and affirmed the commitment to further elevating the partnership between the two countries and strengthening bilateral cooperation frameworks, particularly in economic, trade, investment, and energy sectors, as well as cooperation in vocational training, labor mobility, and development, in a manner that serves the mutual interests of both sides.
