Wright stated in a post on his X account that “the U.S. oil and gas sector has lifted production rates to unprecedented record levels, making the United States the largest producer of oil and natural gas in the world.” He added that “President (Donald Trump)’s agenda will build on this success to unleash American energy to boost the economy and lower costs.” These remarks come as the United States intensifies efforts to secure safe navigation corridors in the Strait of Hormuz, ensuring the continued flow of energy supplies to global markets.
