Lebanon announces that the number of victims of the Israeli occupation's aggression since October 2023 has risen to 8,915 dead
Beirut, August 21 (KUNA) -- Lebanon announced on Friday that the cumulative toll of victims from the ongoing Israeli occupation’s aggression since October 2023 has risen to 8,915 killed and 30,543 wounded. The Emergency Operations Center of the Lebanese Ministry of Health said in a statement that the cumulative toll of the Israeli occupation’s aggression since October 8, 2023, stands at 8,915 killed and 30,543 wounded. The Emergency Center added that the cumulative toll of the occupation’s aggression during the period from March 2 of last year to the present amounts to 4,348 killed and 12,307 wounded. Since October 8, 2023, Lebanon has witnessed continuous military confrontations and attacks by Israeli occupation forces, which have expanded to include the capital, Beirut, and various Lebanese regions, resulting in significant human and material losses, widespread destruction of infrastructure, homes, and health facilities, as well as the displacement of hundreds of thousands of residents from their villages and towns in the south of the country.
