The Al-Fan Al-Aseel Folkloric Troupe Revives Kuwaiti Heritage Artistic Atmosphere with Visitors to The Avenues Mall

Kuwait City, Aug 21 (KUNA) -- The Al-Fan Al-Aseel Folk Arts Troupe revived the atmosphere of authentic Kuwaiti art through a musical evening at The Avenues Mall, presenting a selection of folk and heritage arts that reflect the richness of Kuwait’s cultural heritage, as part of the “Summer Cultural Festival 18” events.

The troupe is one of the Kuwaiti folk groups registered with the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters. Established in 2012 and officially recognized in 2022, it performs various forms of Kuwaiti folk arts, including Ardah (martial dance), maritime arts, Al-Sout (vocal art), Samri, Lwah, and Tanbura, among other traditional genres. Under the leadership of Mubarak Al-Shatti, the troupe has participated in numerous events and festivals both within Kuwait and abroad.

The troupe continues its efforts to preserve Kuwaiti folk heritage and strengthen its presence among new generations by presenting traditional arts in a manner that highlights their cultural and artistic value. It also supports, empowers, and encourages young people to participate in safeguarding the national cultural identity and transmitting this heritage to future generations. (End) Sh H d / M A A
