Tunisia's olive oil exports rise by 55 percent in the first seven months of 2026
Tunis, Aug 21 (KUNA) -- The Tunisian National Institute of Agriculture announced on Friday that Tunisia’s olive oil exports rose by 55.3 percent during the first seven months of this year compared to the same period last year, reaching 368,000 tons. In a statement, the institute noted that exports during the same period comprised 86 percent bulk oil and 14 percent canned oil. The total value of exports also increased by 44.4 percent, reaching approximately $1.5 billion, according to the institute’s statement. Most of Tunisia’s exports of this commodity are destined for European Union markets, accounting for over 57 percent, followed by North America at 24 percent. (End) Sh.B.M / S.A.M
