(Health): Immediate response to a limited electrical contact incident at (Jaber Hospital), with operations continuing normally

Kuwait City, August 21 (KUNA) -- The Ministry of Health said on Friday that a limited electrical short circuit occurred Thursday evening in a computer in one of the administrative offices at Jabir Al-Ahmad Hospital, away from healthcare service areas, causing smoke odor to spread to some patient wards. The ministry said in a statement that the incident was handled and controlled immediately in accordance with approved safety and security procedures, with several patients temporarily relocated as a precaution and returned after confirming the safety of the affected areas. It added that Undersecretary Sheikh Dr. Salman Khalifa Al-Sabah, Assistant Undersecretary for Engineering Affairs and Projects Ibrahim Al-Naham, and Hospital Director Dr. Nida Al-Hasan monitored the procedures on the ground to ensure patient safety and the smooth flow of operations, with conditions returning to normal within a short period while health services continued normally and safely.
