State of Kuwait condemns and denounces Israeli occupation forces' attacks on the Gaza Strip

Kuwait City, August 20 (KUNA) -- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Kuwait’s condemnation and strong rejection of the attacks launched by Israeli occupation forces on the Gaza Strip, which have resulted in civilian casualties. In a statement, the ministry said that the continuation of these attacks undermines efforts to secure a ceasefire and the full implementation of the comprehensive plan to end the conflict in the Gaza Strip in all its stages, in accordance with United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803. It also condemned the continued Israeli occupation authorities’ illegal settlement policies in the occupied West Bank, including the E1 settlement project, as a violation of international law and Security Council Resolution 2334, reaffirming Kuwait’s rejection of all measures aimed at altering the legal and demographic status of the occupied Palestinian territory. The ministry called on the international community and the Security Council to fulfill their responsibilities in halting these aggressions and violations, safeguarding the rights of the fraternal Palestinian people, and supporting efforts to achieve a just and comprehensive peace leading to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
