Israeli occupation forces shell artillery areas in southern Lebanon
Beirut, August 20 (KUNA) -- The Lebanese National News Agency announced on Thursday that Israeli occupation forces shelled several areas and towns in southern Lebanon with artillery. The agency stated that intense artillery fire targeted Wadi al-Salouqi, Wadi al-Hajjar, and the valleys of Qabriha and Tulin, in addition to shelling the border town of Hawta. It added that the occupation army carried out explosions of houses in the town of Mansouriya, causing significant damage to property. It is recalled that the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) announced earlier this week that it had recorded a noticeable increase in the military activity of the Israeli occupation army in southern Lebanon during the period from August 5 to 16.
