Interior Ministry: 22 suspects arrested in 13 separate cases for possession of narcotics and psychotropic substances

Kuwait City, Aug 19 (KUNA) -- The Ministry of Interior, through its General Directorate for the Suppression of Narcotics, announced the arrest of 22 suspects in 13 separate cases involving the possession of various narcotic and psychotropic substances with intent to traffic and consume. In a press statement issued on Wednesday, the ministry said this operation is part of its continuous security efforts to combat the scourge of drug abuse and pursue its traffickers. The statement clarified that the operations led to the seizure of methamphetamine (shabu), heroin, and sheets soaked with the chemical drug K2, alongside psychotropic pills, quantities of marijuana and hashish, marijuana seeds, sensitive scales, and several drug-use paraphernalia.
