UAE: Suspension of all activities, commercial exchanges, and financial transactions with Iran until further notice

Abu Dhabi, August 18 (KUNA) – Afra Al Hameli, Director of Strategic Communications at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, announced on Tuesday that “in light of the regional escalation that has undermined regional and international peace and security, all commercial activities, exchanges, and financial transactions with Iran have been suspended until further notice.” The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a press release that Al Hameli reaffirmed that “the United Arab Emirates denies all allegations regarding the status of its economic relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran, reiterating its firm commitment to dialogue, cooperation, and regional integration as essential means to enhance peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.” She emphasized that “the UAE remains firmly committed to safeguarding the integrity of the international financial system in accordance with international law and the highest global standards.” (End) S.Kh.M. / M.A.H.A.
